Why it matters
Funding is when you get paid, so it is also when mistakes cost the most. The funded record holds the advance terms, the payback the lender collects, and the expected commission with your split. If the terms are wrong, your commission, the renewal date and the reports are wrong too.
Step by step
- 1Make sure the contract is signed (Mark signed on the accepted offer, or a signed MCA contract uploaded) and the funding verification call happened. A deal that went through Contracts Signed - Final Stips counts as verified; otherwise upload the Verification recording.
- 2When the lender confirms funding, open the deal and use Move stage to choose Funded - In Repayment under Closed - Won.
- 3The Funded tab appears. A manager or owner opens it, picks the accepted offer (or enters Manual terms), checks Funded date, Funded amount, Factor rate, Payment, Frequency and Position, then the commission: Base commission, Upsell points, Rep split and any Partner / referral. The preview shows base, upsell, partner, rep and house amounts.
- 4They click Mark funded. The funded deal is created with its payback and the expected commission with its splits.
Who can mark funded
Only roles with funded-deal management (owners and managers by default) can mark a deal funded. Agents can view funded deals and their own commissions.
Seeing your commission
Commissions in the sidebar shows the commissions on your deals: Overview, All commissions and Payouts, where your share is listed as owed, pending or paid. A commission is expected when the deal funds, received when the lender pays, and can be clawed back if the merchant defaults inside the lender's clawback window.
Advance $50,000, base commission 8% -> $4,000 gross No partner; your split 50% of the house share -> $2,000 to you
- Commission splitA commission split divides the commission a funder pays on a deal between the house, the closer and any sub-ISO or referral partner, by agreed percentages.
- ClawbackA clawback is a funder taking back an ISO's commission because the merchant defaulted or stopped paying within a set window after funding, often 30 to 90 days.
Common mistakes
- Moving a deal to Funded before the lender has wired the money. Wait for confirmation.
- Funding from manual terms when an accepted offer exists. Pick the offer so the numbers match what the merchant signed.
- A deal with no owner gets no rep split. Check the rep under Assignments before funding.
