How commission settings fit together
There is no separate commission plan builder (no tiers or draws). Instead, commission numbers come from three places, each a default for the next:
| Where | What you set | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Each lender's page, ISO agreement & commission | Default commission, Max upsell points, Clawback window (days), Payout speed (days), Renewal threshold. | Owners and managers |
| Commissions → Payouts, Rep splits | Default rep split for the organization, and an override per rep. | Owners and managers |
| The deal's Funded tab, Mark funded | This deal's base commission, upsell points, basis, rep split and any partner split. | Whoever marks it funded |
When a deal is marked funded, the form is pre-filled from the accepted offer, the lender's default commission, the rep's split and, if the deal has a Broker / ISO partner, a suggested partner split. You can change any of them for that deal.
Set the defaults
- 1For each lender: open it, edit, and fill in ISO agreement & commission from your ISO agreement. The clawback window drives the clawback warning on funded deals.
- 2Open Commissions → Payouts and scroll to Rep splits.
- 3Set Default rep split: the rep's share of the house commission after any partner split.
- 4Type an override next to any rep paid differently; leave the box empty to use the default.
- 5Click Save splits. Changes apply to future fundings only; deals already funded keep their splits.
Worked example
A $50,000 advance, paid on the advance amount. The lender pays 10 points base and you sold 2 upsell points. A referral partner gets 10% of gross, and the rep's split is 50%.
Base = $50,000 × 10% = $5,000 Upsell = $50,000 × 2% = $1,000 Gross = $5,000 + $1,000 = $6,000 Partner = $6,000 × 10% = $600 Rep = ($6,000 − $600) × 50% = $2,700 House = $6,000 − $600 − $2,700 = $2,700
The Mark funded form shows this same breakdown (Base, Upsell, Partner, Rep, House) before you save. Paid on can also be Net funding or Payback if that is how the lender pays you.
After funding
The expected commission and each split are created at funding. Rep and partner payouts become payable once you record that the lender has paid; Payouts then shows each person's Owed, Paid and Pending, and the Mark … paid button (it shows the amount owed) records that you sent the money. A clawback reduces rep and partner payouts by the same share. Agents see only their own commissions.
A deal with no owner has no rep split
If the deal's Sales assignment is empty when it is marked funded, no rep split is created. Check the assignment first.
