Generate the application from the deal
Fill in a completed business funding application PDF from what is already on the deal, in your company's name, and attach it to a submission package.
You do not have to type the merchant's details into a separate application form. The CRM fills one in from the deal and saves it as a PDF on the deal, ready to attach to a submission.
- 1Open the deal and go to Documents & stips. Click Generate application. (Inside a submission, step 1 offers the same button when the deal has no application yet.)
- 2Check the Missing line. It lists what the application asks for that the deal does not have yet, for example the EIN or an owner's date of birth. Click Fill them in to complete them on the deal's Application tab, or generate it anyway: anything missing prints as a blank line for the merchant to fill in.
- 3Click Generate application. The PDF appears in the deal's documents as Application (generated) and in the submission builder as Application (generated <date>).
What it contains
- Your company's name and contact details at the top. The application is in your name, not ours.
- Business: legal name, DBA, entity type, EIN, state of incorporation, industry, start date and time in business, address, phone, email, website and employees.
- Funding request: amount, product, term, use of funds and when the funds are needed.
- Revenue and banking: monthly and annual revenue, the primary bank and account type. Account and routing numbers print only their last four digits.
- Existing advances and loans from the merchant's positions, and the business debts from the application.
- Each owner and guarantor: name, title, ownership, date of birth, SSN, home address, phone, email, credit score and citizenship.
- Your custom fields for the merchant and the deal that have a value.
- An authorization paragraph (including consent to credit checks) and a signature and date line for each owner.
Signing
The generated application is unsigned. Send it to the merchant to sign in your e-sign tool or on paper, then upload the signed copy with the type Signed application: that ticks off the signed application on the checklist. Sending for signature from the deal is Coming soon.
Generating it again
Changed something on the deal? Click Generate again. The new PDF replaces the old one in new packages; the old one stays on the deal marked Expired, so you can still see what an earlier lender received.
The application prints the full EIN, SSN and date of birth, so generating one is recorded in the audit log, with each sensitive value revealed. The values themselves are never written to the log.
