How lender matching works

Every deal is checked against the criteria of every active lender program of its product, with a pass, fail or unknown result per rule, a reason you can read, and whether the file is ready for that lender.

Updated

Open a deal and go to its Lenders tab. Lender matches shows each active lender program of the deal's Product (an SBA program is never listed for an advance) with its result:

  • Eligible (or Eligible with warnings): the deal passes every hard rule. Soft rules it fails lower its score.
  • Ineligible: the deal fails at least one hard rule. Hover or tap a cell to see which rule and why (for example, “Requires at least $40,000/mo true revenue”).
  • No data in a cell means the deal is missing the information the rule needs, such as a credit score or bank statement figures. Fill it in and the result updates.
  • Needs data also covers a lender with its own requirements that the deal does not meet yet.

The Readiness column shows Ready when the deal has every application field and document the lender requires, or what is missing, with links to the Application tab and Documents & stips. For a lender without its own requirements, readiness checks the product's usual package and is shown for information only.

Matching uses the merchant and its owners, the deal's application, the latest bank statement analysis, existing positions, the documents on file and the amount requested. It runs again whenever those or the lender's criteria and requirements change; click Re-run matching to refresh it by hand.

Submitting to an ineligible lender

You can still submit to a lender the deal does not match: tick Submit anyway for that lender and write a short reason. The reason is saved to the audit log, so managers can see every exception.

Matching is only as good as your lenders' criteria. When a lender declines a deal it matched, check whether a rule is missing.
