Switching from another CRM
How to move your leads, merchants and lenders into the app from another CRM or from spreadsheets, and how we can help.
Updated
Most shops come to Ferrylend from another CRM or from spreadsheets. Moving over is mostly a matter of exporting what you have and importing it here.
- 1Export from your current system. Most CRMs can export contacts, leads or merchants to CSV or Excel. Export everything you want to keep, with one row per record and a header row.
- 2Import your lenders first from Lenders → Import lenders from CSV, so they are ready to match against your deals.
- 3Import your leads, or your merchants and owners, from Import (see Import leads from a spreadsheet). Save the column mapping as a preset; the next file from the same system then maps itself.
- 4Add the fields you track that we don't under Settings → Custom fields before importing, so those columns have somewhere to go. Anything left over can be kept as extra data on the record.
- 5Run a small test file first (a few dozen rows), check the records, then import the rest.
One-click import presets for the most common lending CRMs are in development. Until then, the column mapping above does the same job.
Want help? Contact us with a sample export (remove any Social Security or bank account numbers first) and we will check the mapping with you.
