Record and compare offers
Enter a lender's offer for any product and let the calculator work out the payment, net to merchant, total cost, an APR estimate and your commission, then compare offers side by side, even across products.
On the deal, open the offers section and click Add offer. Pick the offer's Product (it starts as the deal's) and enter what the lender offered:
- Advance (MCA or revenue-based): advance amount, factor and buy rate, payment frequency and number of payments or term, origination and other fees, payoffs of existing positions.
- Term or SBA loan: amount, interest rate, term, amortization (longer than the term means a balloon), payment frequency, fees, payoffs and, for SBA, the SBA guaranty fee if the lender stated it.
- Line of credit: credit limit, the draw, rate, repayment term, amortizing or interest only, draw fee and monthly maintenance fee.
- Equipment finance: equipment cost, down payment, loan or lease, rate or lease rate factor, term, and residual or buyout.
- Invoice factoring: invoice amount, advance rate, discount fee per period, period length and expected days outstanding.
- Commission, Offer expires and notes.
As you type, the calculator shows the payment, the net to the merchant, the total cost, the total repayment, the monthly payment and an APR estimate, plus what is specific to the product: payback, effective factor and holdback for an advance, the payment schedule and any balloon for a loan or line, the reserve and rebate for factoring, and your commission. The server recalculates and stores the figures when you save, so everyone sees the same numbers.
SBA guaranty fee
When the lender has not stated the SBA guaranty fee, the calculator estimates it from SBA's 7(a) fee notice for the current fiscal year and marks it Estimate, with the notice and its effective dates in the tooltip. There is no estimate for SBA 504 loans or outside those dates: enter the fee the lender states. A stated fee always replaces the estimate.
With more than one offer on a deal, the offers sit side by side on the same rows whatever their product. Use Sort offers to line them up by net to the merchant, lowest total cost, lowest APR estimate or lowest monthly payment. The APR is an estimate for comparing products, not a disclosure APR. When the merchant picks one, set the contract status from the offer as it moves toward funding.
The calculator's business days per month and affordability thresholds come from Settings → Organization → Deal math defaults.
